About Me
Hi, I’m Shauna, a Sport and Exercise Psychologist in Training (SEPiT) with a passion for helping athletes unlock their full potential — mentally, emotionally, and in performance.
My Qualifications
- BSc Psychology – Newcastle University
- MSc Sport and Exercise Psychology – Northumbria University
- BASI Level 2 Snowboard Instructor
- Currently completing training as a CASES Sport and Exercise Psychologist (SEPiT)
My Sporting Background
Sport has always been a huge part of my life. I learnt to ski at the age of three and went on to play dance, netball, and hockey throughout school before specialising in athletics — competing in hurdles, 200m, and long jump for the North of England. At 16, I qualified as a Snowboard Instructor, which sparked my lifelong passion for board sports including snowboarding, surfing, wakesurfing, and wakeboarding. Today, triathlon is my main focus, but I still enjoy a wide range of sports such as golf and tennis.
This diverse sporting background, combined with years of competing and coaching, allows me to connect with athletes across all disciplines and truly understand the challenges and rewards of sport.

The Idea Behind On Board
The name On Board Sport Psychology reflects where I’m happiest — on a board, whether that’s snow, surf, or wake. But it also represents the idea of being fully “on board” with your goals, your growth, and your performance journey. My mission is to help athletes of all levels develop resilience, focus, and confidence so they can perform at their best and enjoy their sport more fully.
